The Vera Rubin platform, unveiled at CES 2026, represents more than just a chip—it is a complete rack-scale AI supercomputer system designed around seven new components including Rubin GPUs, Vera CPUs, and specialized networking chips.

Nvidia's Santa Clara headquarters confirmed that initial shipments began in July 2026 to major cloud providers including Microsoft, Google, AWS, and Oracle, as well as AI labs like OpenAI and Anthropic. The flagship NVL72 configuration delivers up to 5 times inference performance compared to Blackwell, targeting the rising demand for agentic and multimodal AI workloads.

The platform's integrated approach—combining compute, networking, and data processing into unified AI factories—addresses the energy and scalability challenges facing data centers across Silicon Valley.
